Greetings,

What are your experiences with rename Windows file names using unicode with the accent marks?

Example:

From: TamSuNguoiThuongBing or Tam Su Nguoi Thuong Binh.
To: Tâm Sự Người Thương Binh

Unless you are still using Pre-WinXP with FAT32 file system, unicode file names should work fine. NTFS fully support unicode.

I am using XP Pro. At one time I tried naming the Winows File Names with the Vietnamese accents and Windows destroyed my FAT (on reboot). It took me about two months (off and on) to recover about 70% of my Hard Drive!Eh? --- I am not certain I would want to do it again!!!!!

I see that your song list in TKaraoke have accent marks --- How do you do it? Did you name your Windows File Names with Vietnamese accent Marks in place?

TKT will automatically take the listing and rename your files for you - with the marks if the listing has marks. If you are using Windows XP, your hard drive file system should be NTFS. There should be no problem when the file system is NTFS. Newbie_y2k has about 3000 songs renamed by TKT with the marks on his hard drive. He uploaded these recently on newsgroup.
