Starting with version 1.4.0.055, when you update the lyric from the online database, the songwriter name (tác giả) will get updated as well. If your song has "unknown" songwriter name when you choose to update the lyric, the correct songwriter name will replace "unknown". If your song has a name for the songwriter when you choose to update the lyric, there is an option to use the name from the online database or use the name you already have. Check Options-->Online Database-->Always Use Songwriter Data From Online Databaseto use the songwriter name from the database. Uncheck this to not override the name you already have. As shown in the screenshot below, the song "Chuyen Tinh Hoa Trang" was named "Unknown - Nhu Quynh - Chuyen Tinh Hoa Trang.vob". After the lyric update, the songwriter became "Nhạc Anh Bằng, thơ Kiên Giang".

Hello vcdz382, Is any way that I can save the format as above for the next time start up TKaraoke without click update Online? Sometime I do not have Internet available from remote area. By the way this is a greatest piece of software I ever use. Great Job. Thanks

If you do not change your song collection (i.e. add new songs, delete songs, or rename songs), TKaraoke will remember the lyric across runs. Only when it detects a change in your song folder, it will flush the cache and loses the lyric data.

Many times I make a few minor correction and then I have to update the lyric data again and again. Many of us add new songs everyday and/or everyweek, update will take several minutes and therefore it is inconvenient.

Hi vcdz382, This is a real cool feature . Thanks. Would it be possible to get TK to write out a llog file to store the song names with the newly replaced Author names. Users will then be able to update their songnames at their convenience.
Thanks

Thanks Good idea but remember the whole point of the live database is that correction can be made anytime and hence the info from the live database is more accurate. One correction to the database can correct thousands of TKaraoke users. On the other hand, each user must make the correction manually on his local file - one thousdand users mean 1000 corrections needed. The bottom line is... just rely on the live database to provide song info and don't spend too much time trying to make your local file perfect and complete. You do need to provide the song name though because the live database requires at least the song name to provide other info.

Bro VCDz,
How does your online list work? Is there a certain way that I have to name the file in order for this "online list" to work?

To get the online lyrics, you just need to make sure the "song name" is named correctly (it doesn't care about the "singer" section, for example).
