Is there a way you can make the audio the same level for all song when play? You know how Paris by night dvd has better and louder audio than let say youth entertainment? So when you play a song from Y.E. DVD, you adjust the volume up then when the next song come on from PBN DVD, it's way too loud.

The way you solve this problem is to use the Music Volume function in TKaraoke. TKaraoke control 2 volumes: Master volume and Music volume. Master volume is basically the master volume control in Windows. Music volume is controlled independently by TKaraoke. On the remote control, you use Channel Up/Down to control the Music volume. You would set Music volume at 100% (default) and crank this up for low quality DVDs (Youth Entertainment) and decrease back down for 100% on PBNK DVDs.

This problem has been driving everyone crazy including DJ&KJ I have a hardware solution for you but it is an expensive proposition! I am using one and it works well for me as I don't have to monkey around with the volumes (hardware or software) betwwen tracks or medias except for when someone requests for volume adjustment. Here is the link: http://www.vocopro.com/products/product_info.php I am older than the Earth :)

Here is the link: http://www.vocopro.com/products/product_info.php Bad link, It shows a blank page I think you talk about the "Dual Channel Compressor/Limiter with Gate" which is a very sound investment to protect your Home Theater Speakers. http://www.vocopro.com/products/product_info.php?ID=281According to the owner manual it should normalize singer voices ... Do you have to use the weakest music as your standard audio level and clip off stronger music to make them normalized? The CLG-600's range of applications can be divided into three basic categories, compressing, limiting and gating. When used as a protective device to prevent audio levels from overloading systems such as tape recorders, power amplifiers, speakers, or transmitters, it is generally referred to as 'Limiting'. It may also be used to even out a Karaoke performance by deliberately reducing the dynamic range (volume range) of the overall vocal signal, and setting the output gain to bring the compressed signal back to a normalized volume level. Doing this allows the operator to avoid unexpected volume peaks and secure a much louder and full sounding vocal signal at the same time. That is referred to as 'Compressing'. Also common, is the application of completely removing audible noise from low-volume sections of an audio signal, i.e. fans, air conditioning units, electric hums. This is referred to as 'Gating'.My favorite is the BBE MAXCOM Dual Channel Compressor / Limiter / Gate with Full Featured Sonic Maximizer http://www.amazon.com/BBE-MAXCOM-Compressor-Featured-Maximizer/dp/B0006GSEME/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_1 My computers and PS3 are fighting cancers Here's how http://folding.stanford.edu/

Sorry about the bad link. try this one http://www.loudkaraoke.com/equip_details.asp?id=KCVPC800 or go to http://www.vocopro.com and look for AVC-800 ($200.00) Quote:I think you talk about the "Dual Channel Compressor/Limiter with Gate" which is a very sound investment to protect your Home Theater Speakers. (No, not at all - Reason #1 below)http://www.vocopro.com/products/product_info.php?ID=281 (No you don't need this - Reason #2 below)According to the owner manual it should normalize singer voices ... Do you have to use the weakest music as your standard audio level and clip off stronger music to make them normalized? - Refer to below Reason #1: Compressor/Limiter/Gates functions are normally used in "Live Shows or Recording Sesions" when you combine many instruments together. vcdz382 posted somewhere here that Karaoke DVDs are very good nowaday (they are already normalized) and I agree with him. The AVC-800 normalizes the volume level across tracks and media and very simple to operate (almost automatic!). Note - this has nothing to do with the singer's voice. Here is my home Karaoke set up: PC ===> VOCOPRO AVC-800 ===> VOCOPRO DA-1055 PRO (KARAOKE Mixer - This will help the singer's vocal immensely) ===> Behringer PA Mixer (for Distributions of Sources Out) ===> Monitored Powered Speakers (Built-in AMP) + AMP ===> From AMP to Non-active Speakers(4 Speakers Total).NOTE --- I don't use my Home Theater System for KARAOKE since they are not designed for the purpose; they are really optimized for Movies. May be that is why they have the word "Theater" in the description :). Reason #2: In addition to reason #1, the VOCOPRO CLG-600 is very difficult to control (too many control knobs) and you must very proficient with sound engineering to use it properly. Otherwise, you just waste your money! Besises, you don't really need it for Karaoke purposes. ======== Behringer has a nice Compressor/Limiter/Gates with many other features for about $150.00 if you should need one. Here is the link http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/T1952.aspxDBX also has a very nice one but very expensive above $500.00. As stated, You don't really need either one for KaraokeRegards. Thanks for your comments and inputs. I used to work with DJ equipment so I ended up with a very impressive KJ system just like you mention. But would you put these in the same room with your HT system? Probably not because it looks very odd and secondly ... No space for both systems. (I finally move my comercial KJ system to the garage for a few hardcore musician friends) Even though HT systems are not recommended for Karraoke but 95% casual karaoke people use HT for karraoke anyway. So compromising is the name of the game ... Compressor/Limiter/Gates should protect your HT speakers against Microphone dropped or very pitch voice My computers and PS3 are fighting cancers Here's how http://folding.stanford.edu/

I am sorry if it appeared that way it is just my preference. But would you put these in the same room with your HT system? Yes - I also incorporate my Karaoke with my HT to get the THX sound effects when I watch movies - I like action movies :).Probably not because it looks very odd and secondly ... Thank you for all the inputs.

Yes I understand there are the volume control option, but I mean is there a way that you can have a feature so that tkaraoke does it automatically?

ctll, It will be very hard to do it automatically. It's easier to do this job at the hardware level than at software level.

We should understand that in a karaoke system require sound for music, singer voice. Video to show song and words. If you want to have a good or better karaoke system we have to invest some money. Hardware is very important, everyone have their own way to setup their system as long as you happy with it. I think to normalize the sound for the music we should invest some money to buy the AVC-800 that DavidT mention. Good invest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Vocopro avc-800 has been discontinued. Would a compressor do the job to normalized the music? Specifically the dbx 266xl? Would the setup below work? PC ==> compressor + microphone ==> karaoke mixer ==> amp ==> speakers
Thanks all. Learning...
