the recording ability is a genius work, thanks to the developers. Also thanks to the original person that came up with the idea. I don't think there're any other karaoke softwares out there (free or paid) that have this recording ability, are there?

We are waiting on some bug fixes from VLC.

VCDZ382. Nice feature. I would like mine to work, but can't seem to get the recording working. The song mp3 name came out in the tkaraoke recording folder, but no sound. Can you post a detailed hardware setup of your system? I connect the mixer output to the line-in of the sound card. I am using windows 7. My sound card is Omega Striker 7.1. Thanks.
2.25.2010 Playing around with the sound card get the recording to work now. Sound is not very loud, and a little distorted..I might need to a lot more adjustment to get it to work like the songs posted in this thread. Good work tkaraoke. thanks.

The recording feature will be enhanced to make it easier to use in future versions of TKaraoke. Quality of sound card wil make a difference when recording. What sound card do you have?

Omega Striker 7.1 After recording, the play back is only one channel. Does any experience this or just me? I used the Mic input on my sound card and it sounds much louder than the Line-in input. This input records music and voice very loud. It's too loud it's distorted. I guess I will have to make adjustments. File Attachment(s):
Tuy Ca.mp3 (13,031kb) downloaded 109 time(s).

Tongvo, don't use the mic in for recording. Use the line-in and make sure you connect both channels coming out of your mixer or receiver. Use a good 2-RCA to one 3.5mm high quality cable such as this one that I'm using ( Link). Make sure you go to your sound card's properties and adjust the line-in or recording level. Your mixer volume and computer volume also affects the recording level (for mine it is), so make sure you play around with those properties to get a proper setting without distortion. I'm able to get a very clean recording using Tkaraoke recording function and this is with the on-board sound card. I'm thinking of upgrading to the HT omega claro plus+ because it has an audiophile-grade opamp, which is supposed to be good if you're using for analog out or listening using headphones. Tkaraoke is a good software and I'm thankful for the developers. I hope the later versions will be faster and more stable, right now it's a bit slow and buggy. My desktop is pretty fast (core 2 duo E8500 3.16ghz, 4GB ram, geforce 9800GT video, 2 raptor hard drives raided 0). I imagine it can be much slower for older machines. Also I hope it can support Kar files so we can use the karaoke songs from VN that comes with those karaoke players (I know the quality is pretty bad, but it's still better than not having the songs you're looking for). just my 2 cents, If you have more questions about the setup let me know. P.S. I listened to your mp3 u posted, it seems pretty clean, you just need to adjust your mic volume, it's too loud that's why you got distortion. Please share your next recording, I'm interested in the quality of the recording of that Omega Striker since I'm thinking of getting the Claro Plus+.
