Why do you care which track is which? In MKV, there is a default track and a non-default track. When playing in TKaraoke, the default track will be played first (unless you check the setting in Options). TKaraokeTools can make your karaoke track on a default track or on a non-default track.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. the issue is that the first 10 volumes I downloaded has the karaoke as the first and default track, which is what i want. All the other disk I downloaded has the the singing track as the default track. I only want to convert one set and not have to do it again on all future one. So what do I do? I want the karaoke track to be the default track. But I don't want to convert all the mkv i download. Is there a standard on witch track is the first track? kdoweb

The standard is the Nhac track (w/ singer voice) is the default track and the Karaoke track (w/o singer voice) is the non-default track. The U-Sing-Along 1 to 10 has this switched. To make it compliant w/ the standard, set the settings I mentioned above in TKaraokeTools. In TKaraoke, you can check "Start song with track 2" in the Options menu and TKaraoke will play each song with the Karaoke track. If you uncheck this option, TKaraoke will play the Nhac track first (because it's the default track). U-Sing-Along 11 to 30 should follow this standard.

kdoweb Use TKaraokeTools and select the following options: Track1 Name: Karaoke Track2 Name: Nhac Default Track: Track2 This should give you want you wanted. I finally got a change to convert the first 10 volumes. Your process works flawlessly, thank you. Now all I hope for is the port to .9x, I keep having to uninstall and reinstall every time I watch movies with subtitles in them. Thanks kdoweb

Are there any software that can change the audio tracks in VOB files? I notice that Tkaraoke Tools can only be used for MKV files only. Are they anyway Tkaraoke can add a feature to start a song with track 1 and another song with track 2. For example if I add:* or $ after the name of a song then Tkaraoke can recognize that code and starts with an audio track opposite from the default audio track.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to switch the audio tracks in VOB files without remuxing it. The MKV container is very flexible which is why TKaraokeTools (TKT) can switch the audio tracks in just a few seconds. You would have to convert your VOBs to MKVs and then use TKT to do the audio switch.

I have PBN Karaoke convertered from VOB to MKV file. Now both tracks in the MKV file don't have the singer voice. It's all Karaoke. I did choose the "Singer Voice on Track 2" option. Has anyone experience this? Thanks.

Have you ever successfully use TKaraokeTools to convert VOB to MKV before?

Post a sample VOB file and we'll take a look and fix TKaraokeTools, if needed. Have you ever successfully use TKaraokeTools to convert VOB to MKV before? I started a conversion of PBNK 58 using tkaraoketools latest version 1.0.009 and the mkv finish with both audio track having singer voice (nhac on both audio track no karaoke track). I rip the vob using dvd decripter and the vob audio track are good, both nhac and karaoke. Also I started to test with MediaCoder-0.6.2.4210 but could not figure out how to encode with both audio track. When I select the copy audio from the audio tab, the audio id selections is not greyed out and I have to select one of the track but there is no options for both audio tracks. When finished I only get 1 audio track. can anyone help? kdoweb Edit I went back and use MediaCoder-0.6.1.4045 the same version use in the tutorial and got both audio to encode correctly. Bugs in the new version? Or dual audio was never intended by the software? hope you guys can fix tkaraoketools so we don't have to use 2 tools one to encode and the other for audio track name. karaoketools still have a problem some dvd convert fine while other have the same audio track on both track one and two.

Try using the attach button to attach the file to this message. Let me know if you can't do it.

I don't see any attach button. I just see the normal text window and the image icons. Thanks for looking into this.

The forum was setup so that only admins or mods can attach. You can upload the test file to our FTP server: ftp://ftp.tkaraoke.com. See this thread for the login: http://www.tkaraoke.com/forum/tkaraoke_postst248_FTP-Login.aspx

Thanks kdoweb for posting the test vob file on our FTP server. TKaraokeTools has been updated to fix the following problems: 1. No output mkv file produced. 2. Output mkv file has the same audio for both Nhac and Karaoke tracks.
Try out the new version (TKaraokeTools v1.0.011) and let us know if there are still problems.

vcdz382 Cám ơn. I am able to convert the singer audio on Track 2 from .vob to mkv and have the singer audio track played first in vlc player with the new Tkaraoke tool.
Sorry I was not able to upload the file. Thanks to kdoweb for posting the sample file.
