We get a many questions over email about the possibility to buy songs legally from Asia, Thuy Nga, etc. Some good folks really wanted to support the production companies and as the same time want the highest quality songs possible.
The answer is yes, of course. These production companies do want to sell their songs. Their songs will be of highest quality because it's their original, non-compressed versions.
The production companies will also rename their songs in the format TKaraoke expect so that you can just download without renaming. The "Author", "Singer", and "Lyric" will show up accordingly. If you can select which song to buy (instead of buying the whole DVD) to use with TKaraoke, how much are you willing to pay per song? $1? $0.50? $0.25?
If you absolutely don't want to pay per song, reply and let us know also. Your feedback will be useful for us. If there is a good number of people willing to buy, we can then talk with Asia, Thuy Nga, Tinh, Van Son, etc. to start selling their songs (dowloadable instantly from the web) for TKaraoke.

I'm willing to buy if all the songs are already renamed for TKaraoke and the quality is high. Each DVD costs around $16 and it has around 20 songs. Hence, the average is a little less than $1 per song. When I buy the songs for TKaraoke, I don't have to buy the whole DVD, I can just pick which one and want to buy and download. Hence, I'm willing to buy my favorite songs for maybe $0.75 max per song.

If the quality is good which it should since the production companies are selling it, I'm willing to buy song at $0.25 per song! Asia has around 50 Karaoke DVDs (or about 1000 songs). Thuy Nga also has around 1000 unique Karoke songs. That's it, if I get every single song from Asia and Thuy Nga, I would need to pay for 2000 songs. At $0.25 per song, this is only $500. This is cheap in my opinion. When they have the new song come out, I'll just buy those additional songs for $0.25 each. This way, I have all the good songs and high quality songs and I'm also helping out the production companies to make more good songs!

I'm thinking $0.25 for older ones and $.50 to $.75 for newly released songs.

I just hate the ideas of download one song at a time - It a time-consuming process! ; I prefer to buy the complete DVD and pick and choose what I like at a discount price. Also, when I have different set of friends over for fun, I don't know what song they like so I just give them the books and let them pick. My take is that hosting a Karaoke Party likes buying a Birthday Gift - I buy what my friend likes. I am older than the Earth :)

How much are you willing to pay for a DVD (20 songs)? I think the problem here is these production companies (Thuy Nga, Asia, v.v.) don't bother to sell in non-DVD format because they think not many people will buy. They probably think it's a waste of their time.

It is a bad idea! If you want to support, buy DVD and rip them for Tkaraoke. I can see few people buy and freely distribute to friends or share cost.
