TKaraoke v1.4 should be available for download shortly. A key feature of v1.4 is the ability to get lyric for your songs from our online database. Compare with previous versions, v1.4 can recognize the lyric for more songs and the lyric is more accurate. As of June 21, 2009, TKaraoke can recognize about 70% to 80% of typical Vietnamese karaoke songs. As we improve our online database, this percent will likely to increase. The best of all is any registered member can contribute to improve the online database which will immediately benefit other TKaraoke users.

To get the lyric for your songs, click on Tools-->Update Lyrics Using Online Database. Depend on how many songs you have and your internet connection speed, this process might take a few minutes. Typically, it will take about 20 seconds for every 1000 songs you have. Once the update process finish, TKaraoke will report the result. The updated lyrics will be saved by TKaraoke until you update again or there are changes to your song collection. To know which songs TKaraoke can't find the lyric for, click on the Lời Nhạc column to sort it in ascending order. All songs without lyric will be labeled with "(Visit www.tkaraoke.com/lyrics to add lyric for this song)". Right-click on a song and select "Search For Lyric" will search the online database for the lyric. As soon as you or another member add new lyric for a song, the lyric will be available immediately for TKaraoke.

Example 1:
A collection of 4885 songs with some English song. TKaraoke can recognize 69% of it using our online database.


Example 2:
A collection of 506 U Sing Along songs. TKaraoke can recognize 78% of it.


Example 3:
A few Asia Karaoke DVDs. TKaraoke can find the lyrics of 90% of the songs!

Right now, TKaraoke will only pull down lyrics. The next version will also pull down songwriter names. These 2 pieces of data are tightly tied with the song name. The other stuffs you mentioned are loosely tied with the song name and need user's additional input into the database. We'll see how the live database goes... For us to do what you asked, there will have to be great participation from onlines users - we can't do this alone. We can do the programming part of it but the users will have to input the song info into the database. We'll see how much participation our lyric database get and decide in a few months.

It should work just like other formats.
