I hope the information below would clarify some of the confusions regarding the use of Dual Screen Features:
TV and Flat Panel have nothing to do with the settings to use Dual Screens (or Tri Screens). Basically, the Video Card has Multiple Tuners and the Tuners are control by Drivers and Software to display different screens.
That's said, please observe the followings:
Make sure you install the latest Video Driver and the Controlling Software (if your Video Card comes with one).
Use Windows Settings OR Controlling Software to configue "Dual Mode" displays.
For Flat Panel - Set the BOTH Displays at 1024x768.
For Older TV - Set them to 640x480.
You can always play around with the resolutions later after you get the features to work.
