Starting with version 1.4.0.067, TKaraoke will support a new feature: Auto Record. This feature can be enabled by checking Tools-->Recording-->Enable Recording. When checked, TKaraoke will record your singing (music plus your voice) and save to an mp3 file. As you play a song, the recording will automatically start. As you stop or skip that song, the recording automatically stop. As you play the next song in the queue, the new recording automatically start. To change the default options, go to Options-->Recording-->Recording Options. TKaraoke will put all the recorded files in the specified "Output Folder." The format of the output file is: Year_Month_Day_Hour_Minute_Second_Song Name.mp3The prefix before the "Song Name" is the date when you played the original song in TKaraoke. For example, I checked "Enable Recording" and queued up 5 songs. As I play/sing through these songs, TKaraoke record my singing and save 5 mp3 files in the Output Folder specified by the "Recording Preferences". Notice that I sang the song "Minh Oi!" 2 times. One at 01:55am and one at 02:02am. The default options should work in most cases. If you have multiple sound-card and would like to use a non-default line-in, uncheck "Use Windows Default Line-in Device" and enter the name of the device you want to use into the text box. The name should match exactly the name of the device you saw in Control Panel-->Sound-->Recording tab. The name of the device is "First Line (Second Line)". For example, in the picture below, the name of the device is "Line-In (Creative SB X-Fi)". You will need to setup the wiring properly to route the sound into your sound card's line-in. A typical setup is you wire your sound-card's Line-Out to your Karaoke Amplifier and wire the Amplifier's "Pre Out" to your sound-card's Line-In. This setup allows you to to capture the mixed sound (your voice plus the karaoke music). In the near future, the Lyric Website will allow you to upload your recording into the database so that everyone surfing the net can hear you sing! An example is below (recorded with TKaraoke v1.4.0.067): Once uploaded to the lyric site, you became a professional singer! Anyone using the lyric site or google/yahoo/bing can quickly locate your uploaded song. You can also send the recorded mp3 to Thuy Nga, Asia, Van Son, Tinh, etc. as a "sample." If you are a good singer, they might hire you to sing for them. If you got hired, don't forget to Donate us some cash

Hi, this version still have bugs in it for example if you clicked on Help-->About TKaraoke it did not pop out the about screen. I did not see the logo loading screen at startup neither. Also, can you add a button to link to the sound recording properties within the OS instead of typing in the name of "Line-in" device. Thanks!

Yes, the Help-->About is a bug in this build. The logo screen should still show at startup though. We are working on listing the device names for the user to pick from the list instead of typing it in manually. Are you able to record? Sharing your recorded files as well as your stereo system wirings tend to be fun and helpful for everyone :) Other bugs in this build: 1. The recording kept going after the song ended by itself (no skipping) and there is no more song in the queue.

Any ideas when the stable version will be released? Also, Quote: 1. The recording kept going after the song ended by itself (no skipping) and there is no more song in the queue. Keep singing :)

I think you want to use Adobe Soundbooth CS4 for line-in recording instead until the author release the stable version.

You just need to add the button link to "mmsys.cpl" NO NEED to create a huge list for Sound Devices don't you think?

We can launch mmsys from TKaraoke but the user would need to type the name in manually. We are trying to give the list so the user can just pick within TKaraoke. See the following screenshot.

Well, how about launch mmsys command, select available "Line-in" device then populate to selected device box within TKaraoke automatically without having to type the device name? vcdz382 wrote:dishnet2k wrote:You just need to add the button link to "mmsys.cpl" NO NEED to create a huge list for Sound Devices don't you think? This is not easy. The 2 process has to communiate with each other to do that. The MMSYS doesn't have any interface to communiate with. Try out build 068 to see how we are planning to do this.

Common...why it sounds so difficult to you guys...Here is my plan...since you're already have the button linked to mmsys via 068 so when user see that screen...they're going to change the setting there to make sure the "Line-in" set as default for recording instead others. Then click OK button to apply...now you're back to recording settings via TKaraoke...check the box "Use Windows Default Line-In Device." Done deal! What do you think? vcdz382 wrote:dishnet2k wrote:Well, how about launch mmsys command, select available "Line-in" device then populate to selected device box within TKaraoke automatically without having to type the device name? Thanks for the implemented of the recording options to select "default recording device" via 070. Now we need the recording option enable in order to test it again. Do you know when there will be another beta version release? Pls. advise
