Hi all, I downloaded a bunch of karaoke files that are named like so:
A00034 _Bay gio con nho hay khong_Diep Thanh Thanh.avi A00025 _Dung noi xa nhau_Huong Lan, Thai Chau.avi A00036 _Dem buon tinh le_Truong Vu.avi
etc.
I want to change the names so that they conform with the naming convention of Tkaraoke which should be:
Diep Thanh Thanh - Bay gio con nho hay khong.avi Hương Lan & Thai Chau - Dung noi xa nhau.avi Trương Vu - Dem buon tinh le.avi
Can someone please point me to a software that can do that automatically?
Thanks,

Down load "ReNamer" program from the link below. It is free and a avery powerful program. You may want to read the manual and play with it a little. http://www.den4b.com/downloads.php?project=ReNamer I am older than the Earth :)

There are few trick you can do, combine "Rename" and "TKaraoke Tool" plus a bit knowledge using CMD Dos and Excel. This way, you can rename few hundred files at a time.
If you/anybody interest I will provide step by step howto.

Thanks guys for the help. I took a look at renamer and honestly I have no clue what to do with it.
So if a step by step tutorial could be provided that would be great.

If you can, try to make the step by step instruction and post it here so that others can access too. That would be great.

Problem solved. I found this software that could do what I want with a very user friendly interface. It's called '1-4a rename'. Here is the link http://www.1-4a.com/rename/download.htm
