It seems that Tkaraoke detects filename format "song tile", "artist", "writer" ...etc and when import tracks. Then TK will recorgnize the colum. Can you put an user option that I can manually set up the detection based on filename format ?
Or Am I able to change the filename format dectection ? If there is an option, then please instruct.
Ex: TKaraoke used this file format
"Album_Track - Artist - Title.mkv"
Asia Karaoke 41_01 - Lâm Nhật Tiến & Ngọc Hạ & Đặng Thế Luân - Em Còn Nhớ Mùa Xuân Asia Karaoke 41_02 - Phương Dung & Tuấn Vũ - Liên Khúc Rừng Lá Thay Chưa Asia Karaoke 41_03 - Don Hồ & Doanh Doanh - Hãy Yêu Như Chưa Yêu Lần Nào Asia Karaoke 41_04 - Lệ Thu & Dạ Nhật Yến - Bài Tình Ca Mùa Đông
My custom format
"Disc_Track - Title - Artist.mkv"
ASIAKAR41_01 - Em Còn Nhớ Mùa Xuân - Lâm Nhật Tiến & Ngọc Hạ & Đặng Thế Luân ASIAKAR41_02 - Liên Khúc Rừng Lá Thay Chưa - Phương Dung & Tuấn Vũ ASIAKAR41_03 - Hãy Yêu Như Chưa Yêu Lần Nào - Don Hồ & Doanh Doanh ASIAKAR41_04 - Bài Tình Ca Mùa Đông - Lệ Thu & Dạ Nhật Yến
Thanks, GY

Great ... Can you put this in the menu option with pick and choose format? This would help because the format will be clearly appoint the certain "text format" to be allowed. For many years, I used alot of software regarding musics which have format a bit differed from your software. You use %singer% (instead of %artist%), %song% (instead of %title%) etc. So, if you can put this as an option to choose than it would be easier for user. Also, the TK does not clear the previous imported format. It leaves behind the old, incorrect custom format (which it can have a album listed 2 times). User has to manually delete the .dat file in userdata folder in order to clear the previous import. This should be automatically converted when user change import format. Thanks, GY

The format of your songs can be different per folder. Say you downloaded karaoke x from user y on the web and you made karaoke z yourself. The format of x and z might be different as user y and you might not not agree on a particular format. Hence, specifying the format on the Options menu doens't make sense since there can be many formats. TKaraoke supports all kind of formats (6! = 720 formats to be exact). You can specify a format by specifying a tksns file. You can do this on the root folder or for each folder that has a different format than its parent folder's format. This model is much more flexible than a single-format model.
TKaraoke will clear out files that no longer exist on the next run, when you add new song folder, or when you are trying to play non-existing files.

You're right ... it is limited if the software only support 1 format. But, in this case I suggest that you put out template & custom template. User would pick, choose, select or even customized the format be user import the different file format. This means the template is open for each import and user don't have to create any file in the file's root directory (maybe this can be done when the user customized the format).

Quote: downloaded karaoke x from user y on the web Please don't take me wrong but you folks must have quite a bit of free time to down load junks from the NET! I prefer to go to work to earn the money and buy what I want so I could have total control of my collections and [as results] I seldom have problems with mine! Sorry, it's just my personal preference and as the old saying "There Is No Free Lunch (TINFL)" - especially from the NET! I am older than the Earth :)

Buy things with your own money. On the other hand, people love the free stuffs and they can do what ever they wish. Do you like to pay for Tkaraoke software ? If you do then donate ... cheers, GY

Sorry friend! - You are missing the mark by about 100 miles. It's a FREE country - do whatever you want, as it is your personal preference. Hopefully, some days you understand what I mean by "TINFL". BTW - Since you asked - I do use TKaraoke sparingly as a tester and evaluator and contribute with constructive comments to make it better for all. I use other programs for my KARA purposes. I have never say anything bad about TKaraoke since it is a very good application but still under development. There are many ways to donate and contribute and my way of donation is time to make TKaraoke better for all users (Check my posts to find out!). I am older than the Earth :)

As TINFL is your personal preference, I'd say that you keep it to yourself and tell it to yourself only. Then, it would be a complete personal. Otherwise, I'd say "Keep your TINFL & no thanks regarding your comments."
You're not the only tester, evaluator and contribute the times here. If you feel that your contrubution is a way to donate, then keep it up. And I don't think you understand completely the "TINFL" yet.
