no. not the monitor nor the TV,.. just the Tkaraoke software. So, the Tkaraoke plays video/karaoke right? I got a black screen (in Tkaraoke window) but with audio.. not sure what I did.. I ended up redo my PC, so hope it back to normal now.

The "black screen" problem happens on machines with a weak video card. Either your video is weak or it doesn't have the correct driver installed. TKaraoke version 1.2.0.002 is the only version that supports older video cards. See this for more info: http://www.tkaraoke.com/forum/tkaraoke_postst342_No-2nd-video-output.aspx

I was facing the same problem the entire day. I have a Duo Core2 laptop with 2GB ram. The video and audio show up fine on Windows Media Player and VLC media player so it wasn't outdated driver or weak video card. After trials and errors, I got them to work.
Solution 1: Put the songs onto the same hard drive as the TKaraoke program. (Never mind. If you have too many MKV files, same problem occurs.)
Solution 2: Use TkaraokeTools to change the extension of all MKV files to MP4. PROBLEM SOLVED!
Added November 14, 2009: Solution 3: Someone on this forum mentioned that if you have too many MKV files in 1 folder, then this problem will occur. I separate the songs from each DVD into their own folder. Then I put all these folders in a "Karaoke" folder. PROBLEM SOLVED!
Hope that helps.
(This is a great forum, btw. I love Tkaraoke and would like to see it flourish to become the truly ultimate karaoke program. Thank you vcdz382).
