Currently I record karaoke performances using audacity. It would be great if recording feature could be integrated into tkaraoke. This would be really convenient since I won't have to open another recording program such as audacity every time. Connection wise, I just connect the tape out from mixer into line in from computer audio card. Thanks.

Good idea. We have been looking for a good way to implement this feature. What are the popular recording software out there?

To avoid unnecessary overhead on Tkaraoke, use the native soundcard/windows recording feature and clean up the recording clips at a later time. I am older than the Earth :)

see, most of the time I don't really edit anything. With audacity you can edit, but I tend to just export the song straight to mp3 after recording it. The only annoying thing with using a separate recording software is that you have to switch windows back and forth to hit the record button and the stop button. So I was hoping that tkaraoke could integrate a recording feature where if you in for example "record mode" then it will automatically start recording once the song is played and stop it when the song ends, and then automatically save the recording in a user selectable format such as mp3 or wav (to preserve the fidelity for editing later) to a predefined folder. To sum it up, this feature will just make recording more user friendly and convenient which will make tkaraoke more complete (no need for a separate recording software).

Greetings, I understand your points for the convenience but you may need to look at the development perspectives. TSoft has been doing a great works in the development of TKaraoke but all functions/features included in "ONE EXE File" and currently it is about 50MB. So, add more functions would obviously increase the size of the EXE file and consequently would take more computer resources to play TKaraoke. Regards. I am older than the Earth :)

Does it really put that much strain on resources if this feature is added? I mean with today's computer, I think that should be a non-factor.

Here is a sample recording recorded by TKaraoke v1.4.0.067. Any comment on the quality? No additional software required - just need TKaraoke. TKaraoke will record directly into mp3 with the specified bitrate. That's my voice after coding for 6 hours straight to try to implement this recording feature :)

Thank you so much. I can't wait for the new release. Just curious what mic and mixer are you using? You sound really good.

I just made some changes to the settings and the recording is now even better, I think. I got a Boston BA-88 microphone and a DTech D-4200EQ mixer. The sound card might play a role in the recording quality as well. I got a Creatives X-Fi Platinum sound card.

Gada hát quá tuyệt vời. Giọng còn khoẻ hơn Ngọc Sơn nữa. Thêm chút Eco rồi gủi vào trung tâm Asia đi! Giọng này "tân trang" lại chút nữa nghe cũng gióng Chế Linh lắm chứ!! Link: Viết Từ KBC.

I cleaned up and added some effects to the song and it sounds a little better (my opinion, of course). I hope you don't mine, Gada. Could I upload to the TSoft Server so you guys can check it out? I am older than the Earth :)

Sure, we are working on the interface so you can upload it yourself but for right now, you can upload to our FTP or attach to the forum.
