As you might have known, TKaraoke can play directly from VIDEO_TS folder on hard drive or from a mounted ISO file. However, the song same will be "x, Bài Số 01", "x, Bài Số 02, v.v. where x is the folder name or the drive letter. With this, the lyric of the song will not be available as our database needs to know the song name to provide the lyric. To improve this, we are looking to provide the actual song name instead of "x, Bài Số y".
I don't usually load songs from from VIDEO_TS folder so your ideas will be helpful here. We are looking for your idea on how to implement this feature to provide a flexible way to provide the song name and possibly the songwriter names as well.

Here is my initial idea: 1. Provide an info file named x.tkdti a the root of the DVD folder (where the VIDEO_TS folder is also located). 2. Name x to be your DVD Name. This data will be used as the Album. For example: "PBNK 62.tkdti". TKDTI stands for TKaraoke DVD Track Info. 3. The x.tkdti file will be a text file that contains the DVD info like listed in this forum. For example: Code:.Skip PBN Karaoke 24_01 - Don Ho - Cafe Dang Tro Lai PBN Karaoke 24_02 - Thien Kim - Tinh Yeu Muon Thuo PBN Karaoke 24_03 - Nhu Quynh - Chuyen Di Ve Sang PBN Karaoke 24_04 - Y Lan - Phoi Pha PBN Karaoke 24_05 - Nguyen Hung - Doi Toi La Cua Toi PBN Karaoke 24_06 - Hoang Lan - Chuyen Tinh Hon Buom Mo Tien PBN Karaoke 24_07 - Ai Van - Mua Dong Biet Ly PBN Karaoke 24_08 - Bao Ngoc - Thuong Hoai Ngan Nam PBN Karaoke 24_09 - Truc Linh & Truc Lam - Mot Ngay Cua Anh PBN Karaoke 24_10 - Elvis Phuong - Trai Tim Khong Ngu Yen PBN Karaoke 24_11 - Nhu Quynh & Don Ho - Tim Vo PBN Karaoke 24_12 - Luu Bich - Song Trong Phut Giay PBN Karaoke 24_13 - Tuan Ngoc - O Noi Nao Em Con Nho PBN Karaoke 24_14 - The Son - Nguoi Tinh Achiban PBN Karaoke 24_15 - My Huyen - Tan Thu PBN Karaoke 24_16 - Don Ho & Nhu Quynh - Chuyen Lua Doi PBN Karaoke 24_17 - Bao Han - Niem Vui Hon Nhien PBN Karaoke 24_18 - Bao Ngoc - Hoa Tim Ngay Xua PBN Karaoke 24_19 - Lynda Trang Dai - Chieu Xuan PBN Karaoke 24_20 - Hoang Lan - Yeu Lam In this case, this DVD has 21 tracks. Track 1 should be skipped (copyright info). Track 2 is song Cafe Dang Tro Lai, Track 3 is song Tinh Yeu Muon Thuo, v.v.

Hello vcdz382, I'm exciting to see you support this feature :cool: This way, we can easily share the TKDTI file between those who has taken the advantage of mkv/vob and the new comers - the tKaraoke family can grow... bigger... faster :) my 1 cent: 1. ".Skip" would work but would it be better to use "--" <<< this inline with your current logic of parsing the text line to pick out the Title/Artist/Song Name .... Less code change (I hope I'm not wrong :) 2. The flexibility to put this "skipping indicator" on any line by itself => to indicate that track is unwanted in the catalog/index .... I saw a couple of U Sing Alon's that has unwanted track @ the end... So does The Best of Nguyen Hung with a behind the scene. .... There can be duplicated songs between DVD's... (say the best of Quang Lê's song are from other PBN's DVD) this give tKaraoke's members a chance to remove dup entry in the catalog --> look much better, like a pro :) ==== Don't know if this should be another topic of discussion. While we are at modifying the TKDTI entry/name... I wonder if we could also extend the song name to some how... indicate to Karaoke the Karaoke's Track number in the song. For example... Code: .Skip Home Collectio 01_01.1 - Don Ho - Cafe Dang Tro Lai Home Collectio 01_02.1 - Thien Kim - Tinh Yeu Muon Thuo Home Collectio 01_03.2 - Nhu Quynh - Chuyen Di Ve Sang Home Collectio 01_04.1 - Y Lan - Phoi Pha
If there is no "." in the Name, then tKaraoke loads the song as normal .... No change to the current users If there is a ".1" or ".2" then tKaraoke load the song with that track as the default. .... In the future... if tKaraoke has "mode" - either "Karaoke" or "Vocal"... Then tKaraoke can use this to load the audio track accordingly :) ==== Really appreciate your share and support of tKaraoke Thanks

Report #1. Try with Phượng Hoàng 02... Using the songlist from forum... (minus those "vob" at the end of each line if exist) Named as "Phượng Hoàng 02.tkdti", placed in the same folder with "Video_TS" under "PHK 02 - La Thu Do Thi" Result: 1. Song list: populate... beautifully... all 20 tracks are cataloged correctly. 2. Albun/Đĩa: pick up correctly from the tkdti file name as "Phượng Hoàng 02" 3. NO singer name, though. 4. Side Note: when I select whole group ò consecutive file in the listing (alphabet ordered by song name) and add to the queue .... it looks like tKaraoke adds to the queue in the revert order: last song in the listing is first in queue??? .... is it.. normal??? I'm going to test more with other folder, especially with the ".skip" but.. I.. LOVE it so far :)) Code: PH02_01 - Trường Vũ - Lá Vàng Khóc Lá Xanh Rơi PH02_02 - Phi Nhung - Nổi Buồn Gác Trọ PH02_03 - Trường Vũ - Lá Thư Đô Thị PH02_04 - Phi Nhung - Hãy Quen Nhau PH02_05 - Trường Vũ - Tím Cả Rừng Chiều PH02_06 - Hạ Vy - Có Lẽ PH02_07 - Trường Vũ - Nhớ PH02_08 - Phi Nhung - Lá Thư Xưa PH02_09 - Trường Vũ - Lưu Bút Ngày Xanh PH02_10 - Hoài Nam - Sông Quê 1 PH02_11 - Trường Vũ - Về Dưới Mái Nhà PH02_12 - Phi Nhung - Biển Dâu PH02_13 - Trường Vũ - Hoa Su Nha Nang 2 PH02_14 - Hoài Nam - Khóc Thầm PH02_15 - Trường Vũ - Cho Xin Song Lai PH02_16 - Hạ Vy - Đừng Nhắc Nữa PH02_17 - Trường Vũ - Tình Yêu Đơn Phương PH02_18 - Phi Nhung - Kể Chuyện Trong Đêm PH02_19 - Trường Vũ - Ngõ Hồn Qua Đêm PH02_20 - Thanh Huyền - Vì Lỡ Thương Nhau

Report #2
1. Work beautifully with PBNK 52 - Tết Khắp Mọi Nhà... <<< No change to the songlist :houra: 2. Singer names still missing...
Note:
a. Selecting a whole group (sorted by Đĩa/Track) and add to queue - in revert order .... However... if selection was group from last entry - hold shift key - to first then add to queue ==> will be in the right order :))
b. The code messes up for the (good) vob/mkv listing... .... It does not display the Đĩa's Info but it display the song name and singer name correctly
========
Is it possible to disable the "Audio Track #1" Message or at least move it off the video screen?
in dual screen display, I'm looking at the tKaraoke Main Window in the Notebook - NOT the big screen...
Flashing this message on the big screen does not help me "the operator" (to toggle the audio track) but may annoy the viewers... (sorry to say this :)

I forgot to Report...
In this version, for the "Đĩa" Name for Video_TS... it does NOT show the track # as it does in prev version for mkv/vob.
Not important to me but you may want the same "look and feel" for all :))
===
Just test a Tân Cổ - no new finding to report - so far I have not get to one need ".skip" yet. Will do eventually. I updated some of the listing as I go along.. :)
Need a break/smoke :) More later.

Thanks Rau for trying this out. No singer info yet. The next version will support more advanced naming (see this post). Basically you specify the tksns file to specify how the listing is named - not just limit to singer/album/songname. You can specify other things like Giộng and Điệu as well (only USAK so far has this more detailed listing). After the advanced naming, we'll take a look at the default sound track issue. It's gonna be per DVD instead of per track as you suggested since the whole DVD will have the same audio track data (either karaoke @ track 1 or @ track 2 for the entire DVD). Any disc where you see this is not the case?

I saw per... song because it was a "home/personal collection" (and shared in NG)... collect mainly from diff VN Productions... and yet... there are big issue with the... volume... in these type of DVD Now that with tKaraoke - consolidating... the need for those DVDs... no longer exists :) :phew: big thanks :) ==== Should I continue to report my findings? or wait for the next version?

a. This bug has been fixed in v1.4.0.045. b. The default naming convention is "author - singer - song" if you don't provide a tksns file to specify your own standard. Hence, the Đĩa data will not show up - the data was placed in the Tác Giả column. This is the expected behavior. To have it show up in the Đĩa column, provide a tksns file named "%album% - %singer% - %song%.tksns" at the root directory. See the above post for more detail about tksks files and their rules. TKaraoke cached your songs info if it doesn't detect any changes to the physical files. This might be the cause because the new version was using the cache created by the older version. One quick fix is to clear all the songs and re-add - this will force TKaraoke to flush the cache and parse the song info according to the new version's rules.

By the way, is TKaraoke stable under Win7 RC? There is one user reporting crashes here and there under Win7 and those crashes went away when using WinXP. I don't recall seeing any crash on Win7 but that was a while back.

Speaking of clearing the cache...
1. Is there a way of... "Refesh" the song list so that song/Album naem can be updated but the download lyrics remains?
2. The lyrics DB/List... instead of get online each time to get the lyrics... can it be kept local (at a folder on the hard drive that is known to tKaraoke) ... so that between a "Clear Song" and "Add Song", tKaraoke can re-populate the lyrics must faster? ... I know there is an issue with update - sure we can talk more about it.

Rì bọt:
* I think tK has issue with Tình Platinum 13 - Bờ Bến Lạ: tK does not pick up the track list... * I tried a few clear/add... stop/re-run tK but can't see the the song list in the catalog - other DVD's lists are fine. * Used SmartRip to look into the DVD structure... all 20 songs are "Chapter" in "Program Chain 2" and in "Angle 1" .... does this make any diff in the way tK scan for chapter? .... Program Chain 1/Angel 1 has only one chapter of 49 seconds.
===== I noticed that for Video_TS folder that does not have *.tkdti file, this version skip the DVD entirely... ... It will be help full if you give back the old way of... giving "DVD..., Bài Số ##" in the list so that it can be easily identify ... If not, there maybe video_TS folder that user don't even aware that exists in the Hard Drive.
