Good Job! - I tried out the recording feature for the first time yesterday and I think it is a great addition to TKaraoke. I needed to play around with the recording device and the settings for about 15 minutes and the feature has been working as inteneded. Also, see below for my two cents :) Please see below: Quote:
1st bug...Recording options won't keep the same setting after exit. It always changed back to default C:\TKaraokeRecord -- 128kbp encoding. - Until it is fixed (?) - When you start a new session of TKaraoke and want to use this feature, you need to remember to set all Options prior to play the first song.
2nd bug...During recording if you skip the song it will not stop recording. - I have no problem with this at all!
3rd bug...while playing a song...went under options-->recording-->enable recording...nothing happen afterward. Hopefully we can come up with a shortcut key via remote & keyboard to have it record anytime you want not from beginning of the song. Sometimes we want to record part of the song ONLY you know what I meant. - Would be great!

Can some one post the picture of your configuration how to set up mircrophone to mixer and to sound card ?
I have a D-tech wireless microphone hook up with D-tech mixer then get audio from lap top line out...would like to know if it work
I think this is a very interesting feature so far...

I am not familiar with DTech Mixer but here is what you should do assuming that your Mixer has TAPE Stereo (Left/Right) Output Jacks:Step 1: Computer (Lines Out) + Microphone ==> Mixer (Lines In), then from the Mixer TAPE Out Jacks to your Computer Line in Jack. That is the basic physical connection. Step 2: Configure/Activate your computer "Line in" as your "Recording Device" by Right Click on the Volume Icon and work from there. Step 3: Now, you can configure TKaraoke to Record under "Options ==> Recording" and have FUN! It may sound complicated but it is a very simple setup and it's a nice feature to have. NOTE: You may need a special cable for this - i.e. (Left(white)/Right(red) RCA connections at one end (to connect from the Mixer Lines out) and 1/8" Stereo at the other end (to conncet to your computer Line in). You can buy one @ RadioShack.

What is the model of your D-Tech Mixer? I have DJ Karaoke 55 Mixer and the following setup are... 1) Line-out from PC-to-DJ Karaoke 55 (Music input A or B) 2) Record Out from DJ Karaoke 55-to-PC's Line-in 3) Set the default setting under recording option from Sound icon via Control Panel-to-Line-in with 100 % volume of recording 4) Change settings from TKaraoke to enable the recording feature 5) Start singing and send your recorded songs to PBN or Asia for draft maybe you'll be a lucky person on their coming shows :-)

I have DTECH D-3300K mixer karaoke. I took a picture of it but could not post it up here. How can I connect the mixer to PC in order to record song. I would like to connect the microphone to mixer not to the PC Thanks File Attachment(s):

go to music store(american music store) look for cd record deck. plug into your record output in the back of
your karaoke mixer. enjoy

Looks like you have two sets of output (Right/Red and Left/White). Try either one of them - Make sure to turn the Mixer Volume Out and the Computer Volume Line-in ALL THE WAY DOWN and adjust them UP SLOWLY to avoid damage to your equipment. BTW - I can't figure the Four Black Jacks to the right of the Line-out Jacks. Do you have a clearer picture? - Does any of them labeled "Tape Out"? Also, How many control knob or slider, in the front of the Mixer, for the two sets of Output?

Thanks Plug it into the Red/White jacks under OUTPUT --> REC. I believed REC is volume-independent (doesn't matter what volume your mixer is at) while the OUTPUT --> LINE is volume-dependent.

I used OUTPUT ----> REC port on the back of my mixer.
I can record song to MP3 file now but volume of the file kinda low, I may need to fine tune it a little bit
